Classifications
Classifications help you categorize people in your congregation for record-keeping and reporting purposes.
Common Classifications​
| Classification | Description |
|---|---|
| Member | Full church member |
| Regular Attender | Attends regularly but not a member |
| Guest/Visitor | First-time or occasional visitor |
| Non-Attender | Member who no longer attends |
| Sunday School Member | Enrolled in Sunday School |
Managing Classifications​
Viewing & Editing Classifications​
- Navigate to People → Classification Manager
- Here you can:
- Add - Type a new name and click "Add New Classification"
- Edit - Change any existing classification name
- Reorder - Use up/down arrows to change display order
- Delete - Remove unused classifications
Important: Click "Save Changes" before using any buttons, or your edits will be lost!
Using Classifications​
In Reports and Exports​
When generating reports or exporting data, you can filter by classification to target specific groups:
- Export only Members for a directory
- Generate a visitor follow-up list
- Create mailing lists by classification
Changing a Person's Classification​
For an Individual:
- Open the Person's record
- Click Edit
- Find the Classification dropdown
- Select the new classification
- Click Save
For an Entire Family:
- Open the Family record
- Click Assign a New Classification
- Select the new classification
- Confirm the change
Warning: Changing a family's classification updates ALL family members, overriding any individual classifications.
